Custom applications for the work your business needs to do.
When a spreadsheet, a generic tool, or a standard website cannot support your workflow, a custom application can connect the pieces. I build web and mobile applications for clients in Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico.
Build around a real task
Start with the problem: what users need to accomplish, where the current process breaks down, and what information the application needs. That gives us a way to choose a useful first version.
Projects can involve a customer-facing web application, a specialized internal tool, a searchable collection of information, or a mobile experience. API integrations and data processing can connect an application to the systems it depends on.
Web and mobile development
I work across user interfaces and the backend systems behind them. Mobile work includes iOS and Android applications, cross-platform development with React Native, and app store submission.
The right platform depends on how the application will be used. A browser-based tool may be sufficient for some workflows; other projects benefit from a mobile app. We can discuss that choice before committing to an implementation.
The initial scope should identify users, data, integrations, and the core workflow. Features can then be prioritized around what makes the application useful and maintainable.
Examples of custom application work
A rare-book valuation project combined book metadata, ISBN matching, and API data into a report covering more than 12,000 books. Santa Fe Hot Sheets turns public police-call PDFs into a searchable database and map.
These projects show how a focused application can make information easier to use. Your own project starts with its particular workflow and constraints.
Already built something with AI?
If a prototype built with AI needs troubleshooting, a health check, or a path toward production, AI App Rescue is the place to start. The review can identify what to keep, what needs repair, and what should happen next.
Bring the idea, the workflow, or the existing application
You do not need a finished specification for an initial conversation. Describe who will use the app, the task it needs to support, and any systems it must connect to.
If something already exists, share a public URL and explain what is missing or broken. Repository access and other credentials can be arranged securely after initial contact.
Discuss your application
Tell me what you need, share a public URL if relevant, and we can discuss a practical next step.
